Privacy Policy for Sweepio

Effective Date: February 4, 2026

Sweepio ("we", "us", "our") is a lightweight Android device cleaning and optimization app, dedicated to protecting your data privacy and security in strict compliance with the Google Play Developer Programme Policies, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other applicable global data protection laws. This Privacy Policy briefly outlines our data collection, use, storage and protection practices—data protection is our core principle, and all App operations follow the rules of data minimization, local processing and zero unauthorized sharing. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms herein.

1. Core Data Protection Commitments

We adhere to the highest privacy standards for all user data processing, with unshakable core commitments:

  1. Data Minimization: Only access the minimum non-personal device data necessary for core cleaning functions, no collection of any personal identifiable information (PII) or sensitive data.
  2. 100% Local Processing: All data scanning and cleaning operations are completed on your local device, no cloud uploads, no server-side data retention, no background data transmission.
  3. Zero Data Sharing/Sale: Never sell, rent, disclose or transfer any user data to third parties for commercial or unauthorized purposes; no data provision for advertising, profiling or analytics.
  4. Transparent Permissions: Only request essential permissions for core functions, clearly disclose permission purposes, and you retain full right to grant or revoke permissions at any time.
  5. Strict Compliance: All data practices align with Google Play’s User Data Policy and global data protection regulations, with regular security optimizations to ensure compliance.

2. Data Collection: No Personal Data, Only Local Non-Personal Metadata

Sweepio does not collect, store or transmit any personal or sensitive user data (including but not limited to name, contact information, location, call logs, payment details, biometrics, and original media content). The only data the App accesses is non-personal device storage metadata processed locally for core cleaning functionality, and this data remains on your device at all times—we never collect or retain it on any external servers:

3. Permission Usage: Essential Only, Full User Control

Sweepio only requests the minimum necessary device permissions for its core cleaning and optimization functions, in strict compliance with Google Play’s permission policies and Android’s runtime permission mechanism. All permissions are used solely for the disclosed legitimate purposes, and you can modify or revoke any permission at any time without affecting the use of other non-dependent functions:

3.1 Requested Permissions & Legitimate Purposes

3.2 User Permission Control

You can manage all App permissions at any time via Android Settings > Apps > Sweepio > Permissions (grant, modify or revoke). Revoking a permission may affect the normal operation of the corresponding core function, but will not result in any data collection or processing by the App. We never force or manipulate you into granting non-essential permissions.

4. Data Use: Strictly Limited to Core Cleaning Functionality

Since all data processed by Sweepio is local, non-personal metadata, our use of data is strictly limited to delivering the App’s core cleaning and optimization features—no secondary use, no data analytics, no advertising targeting, and no unauthorized processing:

  1. Scan and analyze device storage metadata in real time to identify redundant junk files, cached data and residual files.
  2. Provide a clear, transparent list of scannable files for you to manually select and confirm cleanup content—the App never deletes any data automatically without your explicit approval.
  3. Optimize device performance by freeing up storage space, with all operations initiated and fully controlled by you.
  4. Verify device compatibility to resolve technical issues, with no data recorded or retained for such purposes.

5. Data Sharing & Disclosure: Zero Unauthorized Transfer

We never share, sell, rent, disclose or transfer any user data (personal or non-personal) to any third parties (including advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers and commercial entities). No third party has access to any data processed by the App, as all operations are completed locally on your device.

The only exception is compliance with legal requirements: We may disclose relevant data (if any) only in response to a legally binding order from a competent government authority, court or regulatory body. In such cases, we will take all reasonable measures to ensure the disclosure complies with applicable data protection laws, and notify you to the extent permitted by law.

In the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, no user data will be transferred—we do not store any user data on our servers or cloud platforms, so there is no data to be transferred in any transaction.

6. Data Security: Industry-Standard Local Protection Measures

We take all reasonable and industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect the local data processed by the App, eliminating the risk of unauthorized access, tampering or leakage. Combined with the App’s local processing model, your data is fully under your control:

  1. No cloud storage or server-side data retention—all data remains on your device, with no external access by our team or third parties.
  2. No background data transmission—all App activities are limited to real-time local processing when you actively use core functions.
  3. Local temporary data encryption—cleaning records and App preferences are encrypted with industry-standard technology to prevent unauthorized access on your device.
  4. Regular security updates—we release timely updates to fix potential vulnerabilities, optimize local data protection and ensure compatibility with the latest Android versions.
  5. Strict internal access control—our development and operation team has no access to any user device data, with all development processes following strict data security protocols.
  6. You are responsible for protecting your device’s physical security (e.g., passcode, biometric authentication) to prevent unauthorized physical access to the App and its local data processing functions.

7. Your Data Privacy Rights

In compliance with GDPR, CCPA/CPRA and other global data protection laws, you have full and complete control over all data related to your use of Sweepio, and we guarantee unobstructed exercise of your privacy rights with full support:

  1. Right to Refuse/Revoke Permissions: Decline any permission request or revoke existing permissions at any time via device settings.
  2. Right to Control Data Processing: Manually select cleanup content, refuse any processing action, and all operations require your explicit approval.
  3. Right to Delete All App-Related Data: Uninstall Sweepio at any time to permanently delete all local App data (cleaning records, preferences, etc.), with no residual data left on your device.
  4. Right to Inquire: Request detailed information about our data processing practices at any time, and we will respond clearly and promptly.
  5. Right to Complain: Lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority in your jurisdiction if you believe your privacy rights have been violated.

8. Third-Party SDK Compliance

Sweepio only integrates the minimum necessary third-party SDKs for core App operation (e.g., crash reporting). All SDKs have passed strict compliance audits, and we have signed formal data processing agreements with all providers, requiring them to strictly abide by our data protection commitments and Google Play policies.

All SDKs are configured to disable all data collection, tracking and transmission functions—no third-party SDK can access, collect or transmit any user data through the App, and no third-party data processing is allowed.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in Google Play Policies, applicable data protection laws or our data practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated Last Updated and Effective Date; major changes related to data protection will be notified to you via a prominent in-app notice prior to taking effect.

Your continued use of Sweepio after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed of our latest data protection practices.
